Ordering Terms & Conditions
This agreement is a contract between the customer (“you”) and Australian Booksellers Assn trading as BookPeople ABN 56 365 379 358 Unit 9 828 High St Kew East 3102
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before placing your order with BookPeople. By completing and submitting the customer order form online and using BookPeople Gift Cards service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree with the terms and conditions outlined below.
Gift Card purchases are subject to BookPeople Gift Card Terms and Conditions.
BookPeople always reserves the right to make changes to BookPeople Retail Gift Cards Online Terms and Conditions, offers, bonuses and rewards at its sole discretion without prior notice. By submitting an Order you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The following apply to these Terms and Conditions:
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars. GST does not apply on Gift Card purchases. Prices shown do not include delivery. You agree to pay the delivery and handling fee in respect to each product ordered and all applicable taxes.
Variation
BookPeople reserves the right to change or alter prices of goods on this website without prior notice. The price applicable shall be the price stated on the website at the time of your payment being received.
Method of Payment
Payment can be made using your MasterCard and Visa BookPeople does not accept Amex, cheque, cash or Gift Card payments for the purchase of Gift Cards. Payment must be cleared before the Order is fulfilled.
Maximum Order
You may purchase up to 10 Gift Cards per nominated delivery address per Order. There is a limit of $1000 face value of Gift Cards per Order.
Timing
Gift Cards will be dispatched to your nominated delivery address as specified in your Order. Delivery may take up to 10 Business Days from the date of payment confirmation.
Delivery Requirements
Gift Cards are only available for delivery within Australia. All Orders are delivered via Registered Post to a nominated business or residential address. Gift Cards will not be made available for collection and cannot be delivered to a P.O Box or Locked Bag address.
A person over the age of 18 must be at the Delivery Address to accept the Gift Card(s) on delivery. Anyone at the Delivery Address who receives the Gift Card(s) shall be presumed to be authorised to receive the Gift Card(s) on your behalf. If there is no-one at the Delivery Address or no-one of the appropriate age to receive the Gift Card(s) (or the person is unable or unwilling to provide appropriate proof of age), a calling card will be left for you to collect the Gift Card(s) from the post office.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery details provided on the Order are correct. Gift Card(s) sent to an incorrect address and/or received and redeemed by an unauthorised person will not be replaced. BookPeople does not accept responsibility for late delivery or non-delivery due to any error in the Order details. BookPeople is not responsible for, and is unable to replace, Gift Card(s) which are lost or stolen during the delivery process.
Delivery Charges
A delivery fee of $4.95 will apply per nominated delivery address specified in the Order.
Risk & Title
Risk and title in the Gift Cards pass to you upon delivery of the Gift Cards to your nominated Delivery Address or upon collection of the Gift Cards from the post office.
Once submitted via the BookPeople Gift Card Online website, Orders cannot be cancelled unless required by law.
BookPeople reserves the right to cancel an Order if it is:
Where we have cancelled an order due to not being accepted at the nominated delivery address BookPeople will refund the Gift Card value
Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for another denomination of Gift Card or for tender (i.e. cash). Gift Cards cannot be refunded or returned, unless required by law. Delivery fees are non-refundable, unless required by law.
BookPeople is not responsible for and is unable to replace Gift Cards that are lost or stolen.
If you believe the Gift Card has been tampered with prior to receipt, you must contact the BookPeople immediately on 1300 554 268.
A minimum of $20 and a maximum of $500 can be loaded onto each Gift Card. We may change the minimum and maximum amounts that can be loaded onto a Gift Card at our sole discretion at any time and without prior notice to you. Gift Cards cannot be reloaded or recharged with additional value. Your Gift Card will be valid for use for three years from the date of issue (or as otherwise extended by us) after such time it will be invalid. You should use all the Gift Card value before the expiry date. After the expiry date unused value will become the property of BookPeople.
